Groningen Airport Eelde (GAE) will have an additional destination next winter. From October 29, there will be weekly direct flights to Tenerife.
The flights are operated by the Latvian airline airBaltic and will run until March 2027. The connection will operate once a week, on Thursdays.
A direct connection between Eelde and the largest island of the Canary Islands is not new. The route was also offered in the past, including by Transavia. Those flights were then canceled because the planes were not full enough.
