Winter change? Wild speculation about Serge Gnabry

Recently there have been increasing rumors about Manchester United’s interest in Serge Gnabry. Apparently, the signing of the winger from FC Bayern for the Premier League club is already an issue for the coming winter transfer period.

At least that’s what the Spanish portal “Fichajes.net” reports. Accordingly, United are desperately looking for reinforcements for their attacking wings because Antony is currently out of options due to the abuse allegations against him and Jadon Sancho due to disagreements with coach Erik ten Hag.

As a result, the club bosses in Manchester should also increasingly turn their attention to FC Bayern and Gnabry. According to the report, a transfer fee of around 60 million euros would be due for the 28-year-old – and that doesn’t seem to deter United.

But Gnabry is not the only candidate the Red Devils are currently looking at. Nico Williams, 21-year-old shooting star from Athletic Bilbao, is also being traded. The Spaniard should also be on the list at Borussia Dortmund.

The third possible transfer option for Man United is reportedly Federico Chiesa from Juventus Turin. However, a winter change is unlikely for the 2021 Italian European champions.

FC Bayern: Serge Gnabry’s departure unlikely

However, this certainly also applies to Gnabry. It was only in the summer of 2022 that the Stuttgart native extended his long-term contract with FC Bayern until 2026 on supposedly very lucrative terms.

A mixed 2022/2023 season followed for the right-footed player. Recently, however, the shape curve pointed upwards again.

FC Bayern is also keen to expand its squad in January. Selling a permanent employee, on the other hand, is certainly not on the agenda.

At the moment, however, Gnabry cannot help coach Thomas Tuchel’s team anyway: in the DFB Cup game at Preußen Münster on Tuesday, he broke his forearm and will be out for several weeks.
