The Carlo Boszhard show Make Up Your Mind is back with a short series of episodes after last year’s one-off special, which attracted 1.2 million viewers. The first of these did well yesterday with 870 thousand viewers (20% market share) on RTL 4, good for fourth place in prime time.

Winston stuns

The celebrity who caused the biggest surprise as a drag queen was Winston Gerschtanowitz. No one really realized that he was behind ‘Milly Charm’. “It’s really very witty to be here. It’s great to see that you didn’t see it,” said the presenter of programs on SBS 6.

His wife Renate Gerschtanowitz also briefly appeared with a video message. “You’re not an overly macho, but it’s quite a thing to walk on your heels like that to look for your inner femininity.”

Frank and Victor

A total of four drag queens were unmasked in the first episode of Make Up Your Mind. Besides Winston, Frank Dane and Victor Reinier were also under the make-up. They were recognized by the panel in both cases. “It was scary, but I also thought it was a great honor to participate in the program,” said Frank.

And then came the last reveal of the evening: Egbert-Jan Weeber. The funniest of these was actually the reaction of the panelists, who played enthusiastically when his name was revealed. After all, Egbert-Jan is not even recognized without make-up, let alone disguised as a drag queen.

Andre on one

André van Duin was the big winner on prime time with 2.1 million viewers (39%) for Heel Holland Bakt on NPO 1. The most watched alternatives were RTL 4’s Oh Wat Een Jaar (934 thousand and 18%), NPO 2’s Hidden Past (484 thousand and 9%) and SBS 6′ Code of Coppens (395 thousand and 7%).

The winners at half past nine were NPO 1’s Ik Departure (1.4 million and 29%), RTL 4’s Make Up Your Mind, SBS 6′ Impossible Duets (458 thousand and 10%) and NPO 2’s Nieuwsuur (350 thousand and 7%) .
