Wingene gets a new police building

Together with Lichtervelde, Tielt, Pittem, Ruiselede and Ardooie, the Wingene police have been waiting for more than ten years for a new building on the Hille, in Zwevezele. The current one is completely used up, especially on the inside (see photo below). A modern new building will offer numerous advantages. (continue reading below the photo)

The cells will also be adapted to the most modern standards. It is also important for the comfort of the employees that we can offer something modern and up to date.”

Work will start in January and the new building should be ready by mid-2024. The employees of Ardooie are also moving to Zwevezele. Together there will be about 30 employees. This involves an investment of more than 3 million euros.
