Win prologue ZLM Tour means first professional victory for Nils Eekhoff

Cyclist Nils Eekhoff has won the prologue of ZLM Tour. That meant his very first professional victory for the 25-year-old resident of Rijsenhout. The prologue covered a distance of 6.6 kilometers and took place in Heinkenszand in Zeeland.

Eekhoff finished on behalf of Team DSM in 7 minutes and 27 seconds and crossed the finish line just one second faster than Australian Alexander Edmondson. The third place went to the Dutchman Olav Kooij.

The ZLM Tour ends on Sunday with a ride over 158 kilometers with start and finish in Oosterhout. A stage over more than 202 kilometers from Westkapelle to ‘s-Heerenhoek is scheduled for Thursday.
