ROLLING STONE is giving away a DVD, a Blu-ray and two key chains for the new “Superman” film by James Gunn.
The “DC Extended Universe” is history – but in the new “DC Universe” superheroes can save the world again on our televisions. “Superman” is the first work in this new universe and opens the chapter “Gods and Monsters”. The science fiction superhero film, for which director Gunn also wrote the script, celebrated its cinema premiere in the USA and Germany in July 2025. Now the film starring David Corenswet is also available for home cinema.

With worldwide box office receipts of almost $612 million, the comeback of the Superman character is, according to “Filmstarts”, the most successful superhero film of 2025 so far – ahead of “Fantastic Four”, “Thunderbolts” and “Captain America 4”.
James Gunn has already confirmed that fans can look forward to a sequel: The second “Superman” film is scheduled to open in US cinemas on July 9, 2027 and is entitled “Man Of Tomorrow”.
