Wimbledon, Sinner, Djokovic, Alcaraz: today’s program Friday 1 July

Third round at the Championships: Jannik faces the American in the third match on field two, Novak is on Central and Carlos on number one

As well as Jannik Sinner against John Isner’s serve, even the Italian fans will have to arm themselves with patience before seeing the South Tyrolean at work in the third round match at Wimbledon: the pupil of Simone Vagnozzi, after the successes in four sets against Stan Wawrinka and Mikael Ymer, will take the field in the third match on field 2. The program will start at 12 with the match between Alexander Bublik and Frances Tiafoe, followed by Maria Sakkari against Tatjana Maria: it is difficult to see Sinner on the field before 5 pm.

Things are starting to get interesting, then. On the Central field, starting from 2.30 pm, it will be the turn of Ons Jabeur – seeded number 3 on the scoreboard – against Diane Parry, then here is Novak Djokovic against compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic and, to close, the host Cameron Norrie in front of the American Steve Johnson.

The highlight of field 1 will instead be the challenge between Carlos Alcaraz and Oscar Otte, on the pitch in the third match: the program will be opened at 14 by Watson-Juvan before Kerber-Mertens. It is time for the third round, but not for everyone: today the matches between Sock and Cressy and between Kubler and Novak will be completed, both interrupted by rain on the score of two sets to zero respectively in favor of Sock and Kubler.
