Wilma Murto and Viivi Lehikoinen wrap up the extra money

Wilma Murto and Viivi Lehikoinen return from Lausanne with big money.

The wonderful performances of the Finns on Friday night in the Lausanne Diamond League brought massive prize pools to the north.

Wilma Murto will receive US$6,000 in prize money for second place in the Diamond League pole vault competition. Murro’s result in the evening in Lausanne was 4.77.

Viivi Lehikoinen finished second in the women’s 400m hurdles, for which she will also receive a $6,000 prize.

Oliver Helander netted $2,000 for his fourth-place finish in the men’s javelin.

The Diamond League continues on Sunday in Stockholm.
