Willem II takes three points again, FC Eindhoven is recovering

After two defeats in a row, Willem II knows how to win again. On a visit to Helmond Sport, Kevin Hofland’s team was too strong with 1-3. FC Eindhoven recovered after the defeat in The Hague and keeps the pressure on leader Heracles Almelo. NAC again suffered a painful defeat in the home game against ADO.

Helmond Sport – Willem II 1-3
After two defeats in a row, Willem II went on the hunt for another victory in Helmond. The launch was successful. Jesse Bosch gave the visitors a beautiful lead after more than twenty minutes from outside the sixteen. A few minutes later it happened again. Nick Doodeman doubled the score.

The scoring continued after the break. First it was the visitors who increased the score even further via De Leeuw, Kaars did something back for the home team moments later. However, it was no longer exciting. With the victory, Willem II jumps to the second tier in one fell swoop.

FC Eindhoven – TOP Oss 2-1
FC Eindhoven has recovered a week after the defeat at ADO Den Haag. Less than two minutes were on the scoreboard when Brym gave the home team the lead on Friday evening. And the people of Eindhoven held the upper hand. That resulted in the second goal after more than half an hour. Again Brym was the creator.

There seemed to be no problem for the team of Rob Penders, who received the shield for the best trainer of the past period before the game. Nevertheless, the Ossenaren came back into the game immediately after the break, thanks to a goal from Toshio Lake. When the home team also ended up with ten men after Seedorf’s second yellow card, the equalizer seemed to be in the air. It didn’t get that far in the end.

NAC Breda – ADO The Hague 1-2
Nothing less than a win. That was the goal in advance for NAC, which fell painfully last week (4-0 at Jong AZ) and desperately needs the points to keep up with the second top. Something that attacker Jort van der Sande apparently had in mind, because within three minutes he headed in the 1-0.

The home team did not hold on to that lead for long, but within fifteen minutes the equalizer was already in it. And after half an hour, Thomas Verheydt struck again: 1-2. That was immediately the final score. For NAC, the new defeat means that it will go down further. The people of Breda are now in fourteenth place.

MVV Maastricht – Young PSV 1-1
Where the first team recorded a big win in the Europa League on Thursday evening, the Young PSV fared a lot more difficult a day later. On a visit to MVV Maastricht, the people of Eindhoven managed to get a point in extremis.

After just over half an hour of play, it was Souren who made the 1-0. It was Colyn who gave something back in stoppage time.

FC Den Bosch – Young AZ 3-0
After a noisy week. the Bosschenaren shot out of the starting blocks. After just over a minute, Verbeek shot his team to the lead with a dry bang. Despite chances on both sides, no more goals were scored for the rest of the first half.

The second half, on the other hand, had exactly the same scenario as the first. The home team immediately insisted, resulting in Konings’ 2-0. With half an hour left on the clock, the game was finally brought to a close. Steven van der Heijden scored the third goal of the evening. Due to the victory, Den Bosch is slowly creeping away from the lowest places in the ranking.
