Possibly good news for your wages. From January 1, your boss can increase the value of your meal voucher from 8 to 10 euros. That doesn’t seem like much, but it quickly gives you an extra 40 euros per month. However, not everyone will benefit from this. Fewer than one in three Flemish employers plan to implement the full increase. “Four in ten are already saying ‘no’,” says Anneleen Verstraeten of SD Worx.
