Dortmund is pushing ahead with its squad planning for the new season. A teenager from Brazil came into focus. But BVB has well-known competition to woo him.
Planning for the new season is underway at Borussia Dortmund. After the signings of Justin Lerma (Ecuador) and Kauã Prates (Brazil), another young player could soon follow – again in South America.
As “Bild” reports, BVB is looking at the 18-year-old winger Lucca from FC São Paulo. Lucca made his professional debut in May 2025 in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores against Club Libertad Asunción. The then 17-year-old scored a goal straight away.
The winger’s contract runs until spring 2028 and his market value is currently estimated at three million euros. The BVB scouts have already observed the 1.72 meter man several times, according to the report. However, according to “Bild”, several top European clubs are keeping an eye on Lucca. Arsenal FC in particular should focus intensively on Brazil’s U20 international and be at the forefront of advertising.
With Lerma and Prates, Dortmund has already secured two talents from South America. Lerma is moving from Independiente del Valle for four million euros, while Prates is coming from Brazilian club Cruzeiro for twelve million euros. Prates and Lucca have already appeared together twice for the Brazilian U20.
