Actress Salma Hayek holds conversations with the executive team of the renowned British series ‘Black Mirror’ to be part of the cast for its sixth season, the specialized media Variety reported exclusively on Friday.
In addition to Hayek, actress Annie Murphy (‘Schitt’s Creek’) could join the cast of this dystopian production owned by Netflix that was already revealed weeks ago several new names for its sixth installment. Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Rory Culkin, Auden Thornton and Anjana Vasan are the confirmed signings for this season.
Hayek, star of titles like ‘Desperado’, ‘Frida’ or ‘After the Sunset’, will soon appear in ‘Without Blood’, a film directed by Angelina Jolie and which joins ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ as future projects of the Mexican interpreter.
The news of the launch of the sixth season of ‘Black Mirror’ surprised fans of this production in May because its creator, Charlie Brooker, stated two years ago that “the world was already too dark” to do another season. Details about the plot of this new installment or when it will be released have not yet been revealed.
However, from the platform it was leaked that the number of chapters will exceed that of the fifth season, which only had three episodes.
