Will Ralf Rangnick snatch Denis Zakaria away from BVB and FC Bayern?

Denis Zakaria will leave Borussia Mönchengladbach by the end of the season at the latest. Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern are considered interested, but apparently more clubs are involved in poker around the central midfielder.

In the current winter transfer period, Borussia Mönchengladbach could generate a transfer fee for Denis Zakaria for the last time. For a few days it has been clear that the Swiss will not extend his expiring contract with the foal team. A sale in January would give Gladbach at least a single-digit million sum.

Borussia Dortmund is often associated with Zakaria from the Bundesliga. In addition to BVB, FC Bayern was also mentioned in the past when it came to possible buyers for the 25-year-old.

In the Premier League there should also be interest in the midfielder. As reported by the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United deals with Zakaria. An official offer from the English record champions should not have been made yet.

Since United team manager Ralf Rangnick apparently appreciates the Gladbach professional, a future advance does not seem to be ruled out. Most recently, Zakaria was also traded at city rivals Manchester City. In addition, Juventus has been a hot candidate for a commitment for weeks and could already be present at Gladbach this month.

According to Fabrizio Romano, more than four clubs are currently working on signing the center player for free this summer. The transfer reporter does not name specific names, but speaks of an “open race” at the same time.

In 2017, Zakaria moved from the Young Boys from Bern to the Lower Rhine for around twelve million euros. Since then, the international has played 144 games for Gladbach. The next days and weeks will show how many more missions will be added.
