Gil Ofarim and the Star of David lie
As always, it remains to be seen whether Gil Ofarim will be THE casting coup for the new season of “Jungle Camp”. After all, under the Australian sun it often becomes apparent that many celebrities behave completely differently than what was previously assumed of them. But in the singer’s case, the first question is of course whether he is using the legendary campfire conversations to renegotiate his anti-Semitism lie, which has also been legally clarified.
We remember: Gil Ofarim claimed in an Instagram video that he was insulted in an anti-Semitic manner by an employee of a Leipzig hotel because of a Star of David necklace. Before the Leipzig regional court, the musician admitted that he had falsely accused the hotel employee and apologized, whereupon the defamation proceedings were dropped against a fine of 10,000 euros. The hotel’s surveillance cameras had previously shown him covering the Star of David in the lobby.
So are we finding out for the first time what caused him to lie or what ultimately made him decide in court to give up his version of the situation? Surprises are not excluded. Of course, the question arises as to what consequences the jungle mission will have on his music career. Ofarim recently dared to make a comeback on stage.
What the B to Z celebrities are IBES earn is not known. The participants negotiate their own salaries, which can change if they leave early.
