Will Filip Kostic extend his contract after all?

In principle, Filip Kostic already agreed with Juventus Turin about a change. But now a turnaround is in the offing for Frankfurt’s offensive star.

Accordingly, Eintracht Kostic wants to submit a new contract offer for improved salaries and with a term until 2026. The winger is reportedly willing to accept it. Kostic should earn around five million euros in the future. According to Sport1, nothing has been signed yet.

Juve is the fee too high

Reason for rethinking: Juve is not ready to pay the required transfer fee of 18 million euros for the 29-year-old.

“Filip is here. He feels good and knows what he has in us,” said Eintracht’s sports director Markus Krösche at the SBU training camp in Windischgarsten, Austria.

Kostic’s current contract with the Europa League winners expires next year. Frankfurt could only receive a decent transfer fee in this transfer period. Or extend it with him, which it now looks more like.

Coach Oliver Glasner had recently shown himself confident about Kostic staying in a Sky interview: “As of now, he is our player and I assume that he will be for a long time. From a sporting point of view it is very clear: I want to that Filip stays.” Kostic switched from Hamburger SV to Hessen in 2018 – and now seems to be staying longer.
