The Premier League is approaching its denouement: leader Arsenal must survive two more rounds of matches to be crowned national champions for the first time since 2004. This is the remaining schedule of Arsenal and rival Manchester City.
Arsenal last became champions in 2004, but they have the best credentials with two matches left to play. The lead over Manchester City is five points. Pep Guardiola’s team has played one match less and can therefore reduce the gap to two points:
Manchester City plays Crystal Palace at home on Wednesday evening. This is the remaining program of the last rounds:
Arsenal
• Burnley (home, Monday May 18)
• Crystal Palace (away, Sunday May 24)
Manchester City
• Crystal Palace (home, Wednesday, May 13)
• Bournemouth (away, Tuesday, May 19)
• Aston Villa (home, Sunday May 24)
Manchester City will also play the FA Cup final against Chelsea next Saturday. Arsenal will face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on May 30.
