Wilfred Genee ignores Stella Bergsma’s cry for help, who continues to pray and beg for a new invitation from Today Inside. “Unfortunately she is not suitable for our program.”
She really wants to play the power woman, but praying and begging for an invitation from Today Inside doesn’t fit that at all. In fact, Stella Bergsma is very embarrassed because of this. She’s totally fine for a section in the Libelle, but she’d better let go of the VI dream.
Stella not welcome
Wilfred Genee, the host of VI, is not going to send an invitation even after Stella’s last plea. He hopes she will get better soon. “I think Stella Bergsma is a very nice woman who thinks it is far too important what people think of her,” he says in the New Rev.
The presenter continues: “In her attempts to be seen and liked, I think she tends to over-shout herself a bit. The self-relativization then seems lost. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make her very suitable for our program. But who am I?”
Black day
The VI door is therefore permanently closed for Stella: a black day for the writer. Mischa Blok, the presenter of the program in which Stella made her last plea, thinks Stella should close this chapter. “I don’t really understand why she still wants to be part of that,” she says in the same magazine.
Mischa has mixed feelings about Stella. “On the one hand she shouts that she goes her own way, does not want to care much about what other people think of her and wants to radiate strength, but on the other hand I am surprised that she still wants to belong to that club of Today Inside .”
No chance
A hopeless exercise, thinks Mischa. “She wants to change the club. That seems very naive, because that group is a football canteen, you are not going to change it and you should not want to.”
