Wilfred Genee fully agrees with Angela de Jong’s persistent criticism of the still controversial Marco Borsato. “He did start talking about her buttocks,” said the Today Inside star.
Thijs Römer was in prison for sending dirty messages to underage girls, but Marco Borsato’s dirty messages arouse less resistance. Now that he has been acquitted of abuse, critics such as Albert Verlinde and Tina Nijkamp believe that we should forget and forgive everything. But forgotten? AD opinion diva Angela de Jong absolutely does not do that.
Butt slaps
The messages that Marco sent to his then underage complainant are in black and white: he advised her about self-pleasure and complimented her on her buttocks. It’s disgusting, says Angela, who is surprised that people would like to see the singer back on stage as soon as possible.
Tina has turned fiercely against Angela. “There is a lot of fuss about it, while I think: yes, let that man go! That man has been acquitted!”, she shouts in the section In The Walkways.
Not convenient
Wilfred agrees with Angela’s opinion. “Yes, that is true, but you could also choose to remain sheltered for a while. You can still do that.”
He continues: “What Angela de Jong does, she may go into it much too strongly, but what is true is what she says: he did send those apps to that girl, he did go to that room, he did start talking about her buttocks and went to buy lingerie with her. It’s not very useful, is it, or am I seeing that wrong?”
Cringe
Nico Dijkshoorn also thinks that is dirty. “No, you’re not wrong about that, I think.”
Tina: “I don’t say it well at all. He is not one of my favorite singers anyway and I thought that interview was all very cringe, but it is simply true that he has been acquitted and now he has to go to trial again on television…”
She continues: “Those apps were discussed in the lawsuit and apparently the judge judged it as: well, that is not punishable, and then it is not punishable. Then someone should be able to continue.”
‘We get your opinion!’
Tina also goes wild on Angela in RTL Boulevard. “I don’t agree with Angela. She has already written ten columns about Marco Borsato. Now we know. Angela, we get your opinion!“
The same of course also applies to Tina herself; she has now shouted on five different stages that she disagrees with Angela. We get your opinion!
‘Hate runs deep’
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker believes that Marco should be able to continue despite his dirty messages to an underage girl. He berates Angela. “The hatred towards Borsato – it runs deep into her toes,” he says on X.
“’Eating, hideous middle-aged men’. It’s a pity that Angela Jong goes so crazy; it doesn’t make her any sharper, unfortunately. What could be going on?”
