Thousands of residents of the chic Pacific Palisades neighborhood in the American city of Los Angeles were evacuated on Tuesday local time due to a devastating wildfire raging through the neighborhood, the ‘Los Angeles Times’ reports. The fire broke out around 10:30 am and was further fanned by strong gusts of wind. By the afternoon the fire would already have covered more than 1,200 hectares. More than 30,000 people had to leave the area. It is not yet clear what caused the fire.
