Wijnmarathon guides you through the wine region in Heuvelland

Under a radiant sun in the Heuvelland, 10, 21 or 42 km were run. A tour that takes you along the eighteen vineyards around the Rodeberg. Numerous wineries are also reviewed. Three wines

Afterwards you could taste a glass of wine. There was a choice between Wiscoutre rosé (rosé sparkling wine), Quatre Cépages (white wine) and Roesje (red wine). Due to the warm weather, the rosé wine was especially popular.

“Among other things, they walk through the vineyards of the winegrowers who taste their wine at the final supply. It is really an experience. The runners walk through the vines, and soon they will be able to taste the wine from those fields,” says Andres Scherpere of Sportevents . “It is a combination of vineyards, unpaved roads and bits of asphalt,” Scherpereel explains the course.

In total, more than 500 sports enthusiasts participated on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday you could walk the course, on Sunday it was the turn of the runners.
