The 53-year-old woman who was arrested on Monday after the fatal collision of a 79-year-old woman in Schijndel was released again. A police spokesperson announced this on Wednesday evening. The male suspect is still stuck.
The fatal accident happened in the night from Sunday to Monday at a campsite on the Landingsweg in Schijndel. The 79-year-old woman from Rijnsburg in South Holland was on vacation there with her husband. When she went to walk her dog around midnight, she was hit. Her husband found her next to the road a few hours later.
At a house a kilometer away, the police arrested the man and wife a day later. They are interrogated and the woman is now released again.
It is not known who the driver of the car was. It is also not clear what the role of women was and whether she is still suspected of something.
