On the Rondweg in Uden a cyclist was seriously injured on Tuesday evening. The 24-year-old woman was hit by a car at the crossing at the Orgellaan. Due to the blow, the bike ended up tens of meters away. The victim was seriously injured and was rushed to the Radboud UMC in Nijmegen.
The accident happened around a quarter to seven and two ambulances were called. Both nurses were driven with the ambulance in which the victim was transported to help the woman as well as possible.
The blow must have been good, given the major damage to the windshield and the roof of the car. You can go 80 kilometers per hour on the Uden ring road. Due to the accident, the road has been closed for some time.
The driver of the car was not arrested, but had to go to the police station.
