Wierd Duk and Art Rooijakkers will never be the best friends, but now that Art is forced to count on some compassion from the Telegraaf journalist. Or not?
Where Wierd Duk is known as quite right-wing conservative, Art Rooijakkers is more woke. It already led to a clash between the two in the first week of the right-wing TV journal News of the day. Art cut off and bit him that the program is not a stage for him to keep a ‘talk’. The tone was set with that.
Under the knife
After their TV clash, speculation was quickly made about the future of Art with the program. Should he make way for a more neutral presenter, such as his co-host Malou Petter?
That did not happen, but now Art still falls out. He has to go under the knife again because of problems with his vocal cords. A few years ago that had to be done and then he was forced to remain silent for a few months, causing his radio and TV work on hold came to stand.
Speech
Art is discussed last night Today Inside When Wierd is talking about one of his conservative hobby horses. “Have you prepared other speaking engagements for tonight?” Wilfred Genee jokes.
Wierd: “Well, I really wanted to keep it.”
Wilfred: “But it’s a shame for him, right?”
Wierd: “For whom?”
Worthless
Wilfred refers to art. “For Art, that he now has voice problems.”
Wierd then makes a false joke. “Yes, that’s worthless. Then you start such a program, it goes just fine and then you have those voice problems again. Yes, maybe he interrupted us too often. That is of course possible. ”
Albert Verlinde Direct: “Well!”
Silly
There sounds a bit careful laughter in the studio. Then again: “No, but it’s silly and we hope he will come back soon.”
What does Albert now call that right-wing TV news? “Today’s talk.”
Wierd: “Yes, that was it for a while. It seemed to go that way for a moment, but immediately shut down! ”
