“Why do you want to see throbbing penis pictures?” – Such a character is an NHL mouthpiece telling sex stories

Spittin’ Chiclets is the world’s most popular disc pod, which is also cited by mainstream magazines. What kind of show is it and who exactly runs it?

– Why do you want to see penis pictures pulsing from your captain’s phone? I do not understand.

Thus Paul Bissonnette quipped on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast after hearing from his inside sources that Mike Babcock asked his players to show pictures of their handsets.

After Bissonnette had revealed the trick of the Columbus pilot, there was a huge uproar about it. Many large media houses picked up the topic in North America.

Columbus then issued a press release featuring Babcock and the Columbus skipper Boone Jenner, which Bissonnette was referring to, of course said that everything was fine. The new coach reportedly just wanted to get to know his players better by looking through pictures.

But how did it get to this point, that the comment of a former tough player has become the biggest topic of discussion in the entire Puck World, which everyone is quoting?

“I’m just a fool”

– I’m just a clown with an opinion, Paul “Biz Nasty” Bissonnette describes himself.

The Finnish rock star, known for his ridiculous stories, gives his opinions on NHL events in Spittin’ Chiclets Ryan Whitney’s and By Brian McGonagall with.

In addition, the trio reveals Babcock-style dressing room secrets and interviews NHL superstars in Kiekkomaailma’s most listened to podcast About Connor McDavid since.

One of the strengths of the podcast is that, as former NHL players, Bissonnette and Whitney get the interviewees to open up in an extraordinary way. So at Spittin’ Chiclets you often hear stories that you don’t hear anywhere else.

– I know many of these guys or they are friends of my friends, so they talk to me like a friend, says Bissonnette about interview situations.

According to the man, during interviews, they try to let listeners into the dressing rooms and inside the player’s head, both on and off the field.

Spittin’ Chiclets interviews are pre-recorded. And if the interviewees feel that they are revealing something too much, the section will be cut afterwards and not published.

– We don’t throw anyone under the bus, Bissonnette assures.

With this concept, one of the most popular podcasts in Canada has been created, the hosts of which are now among the biggest voices in the world of hockey.

Bissonnette, 38, also shares his views on TNT and the Arizona Coyotes’ radio channel. Whitney, 40, on the other hand, earns additional income with the services of the NHL Network.

The Spittin’ Chiclets podcast isn’t particularly focused on revealing disc news. If the podcast discusses possible news that is mostly rumours, that will also be reported. In Babcock’s case, Bissonnette has taken an unusually strong line in defending his revelations about the actions of the Columbus Blue Jackets coach.

Mono swung

In Spittin’ Chiclets, however, we talk about more than hockey. For example, about sex.

Especially Bissonnette, who is not ashamed of anything, curses non-stop and sometimes talks openly about his bed bugs.

– I have an aggressive sense of humor, and I’m not going to apologize for it. There are a large number of people in the audience, especially in Canada, who enjoy it. They don’t want to be ashamed of the fact that they like humor. I don’t think we are bad people, Bissonnette sees.

Sometimes the guests go along with the presenters’ questionable storytelling. For example, a former NHL legend Jeremy Roenick pondered in one episode about his friend and colleague having sex by Kathryn Tappen with.

After that episode came out, Roenick was fired from NBC.

– I personally don’t like the fact that some people cling to our individual words, Bissonnette has sometimes stated after the uproar.

A star and a brawler

202 games, 22 points and 340 ice minutes.

Born in Ontario, Bissonnette was certainly not a very strange NHL player. He was a lower-chain brawler who was rarely in the headlines during his puck career.

He only became a real superstar with Spittin’ Chiclets.

The bilingual mototurpa attended French-language schools until the seventh grade. Bissonnette’s father was a steel worker and her mother a professor of office administration.

On the other hand, Whitney, who enjoyed himself on the field, was a star player who played 481 NHL games and scored 259 points. He also achieved Olympic silver in the USA jersey in 2010.

The two got to know each other in the 2008-09 season in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the farm team of the Pittsburgh Penguins, when Whitney spent one game in the AHL.

Ryan Whitney is one of the hosts of Spittin’ Chiclets. He was drafted to the NHL with number five in 2002. In his best season, the defenseman scored 59 points in 81 games. PDO

Bus driver

However, Spittin’ Chiclets was founded in 2016 by Whitney and former Barstool Sports puck blogger Brian “Rear Admiral” McGonagle.

– People always ask why he is “Rear Admiral”. I say ask him himself. It’s obviously something dirty, Whitney suggests.

Whitney knew this from McGonagle’s blog posts when he followed his favorite team, the Boston Bruins, for Barstool Sports. And Whitney loved the gritty style of Barstool Sports.

– We met once in a bar. Then when I stopped playing I thought I’d try a podcast, Whitney reminiscing about her first meetings with McGonagle.

Bissonnette jumped in as a third wheel in 2018.

Whitney and McGonagle first made a 10-15 episode podcast with just two puck diggers hanging out. Then Barstool Sports grabbed the duo for themselves, and things started to develop.

– I’m more of a bus driver. I do a lot of preparations and background work. I write the outline of the show, collect the talking points of the week and make a puzzle out of them. Almost as if constructing a newscast or magazine article, McGonaglen describes her role in Spittin’ Chiclets.

Then he sends the plan to his chain friends, after which the episode is refined over the course of a week before the thing is put in the can.

Accusations

The trio’s occasionally even somewhat questionable show suits Barstool Sports, because David Portnoy founded by the site is known for its unapologetic style.

The site has also been accused of racism, homophobia, sexism and misogyny. In a way, it is a product that looks like its founder.

– I never approve of rape, but if you are a size 6 and wear tight jeans, you kind of deserve to be raped, Portnoy stated in 2010.

In February 2022, three women accused Portnoy of sexual abuse. The man had filmed the act of sex without a woman’s consent.

Whitney, acting as the moral police of the puck world, sided with Portnoy.
