The murderer had been immersed in an escape for twelve hours that had begun in Canovelles (Vallès Oriental), after firing five shots in the back of the worker of the shooting club of which he was a member. After that episode, Roger released the girls and continued his escape on foot. The women notified the authorities as soon as he disappeared. The National Police, thanks to his call, ordered to locate him. The agents had a description of how he was dressed, the photograph from his shooting club card, and they knew that it was a person he had killed and that extreme self-protection was required.
