The National Lottery asks players who participated in the Extra Lotto draw, and especially those who did so at a sales point in Blankenberge, to check their ticket carefully.
According to the lottery, it still happens that winners only show up later, for example because they were staying abroad.
If the winner does not show up on time, the millions will in principle end up in the proceeds of the National Lottery. The lottery may decide to deposit the amount into a jackpot fund, with which it can then organize additional draws. That has happened a number of times in recent years.
