While winter begins in Argentina, summer is just beginning in Miami, and Gastón Locampo chose that climate to launch the new part of his career. The Argentine singer-songwriter, born in Córdoba, premiered the official video clip for “Muévelo”, his latest single, now available on YouTube and all digital platforms.

“Muévelo” is a song designed to be enjoyed: rhythm, energy and that feeling of freedom typical of summer. A song to dance to and share with friends, which arrives at a perfect timing between the North American summer and the soccer climate that is experienced in this World Cup year. The proposal combines contemporary Latin pop with a fresh and danceable imprint, designed both to be played on the radio and to accompany the celebrations that come with the World Cup.

The video clip, filmed in different locations in the United States, had its official premiere on Thursday, June 4 at Klandestino Lounge Bar, in North Miami. Gastón led the evening by presenting the video to the audience and offering a live performance, in a night that brought together musicians and audiences from the city’s Latin scene and that also featured the participation of singer-songwriter César Franko, in a climate of celebration shared among colleagues on the circuit.

“Muévelo” was composed by Gastón Locampo himself along with Mariano Di Gioia (“Keiny”), Franco Andrés Galfré (“Franke”)—who was also in charge of production, mixing and mastering—and the musician and producer Homero Gallardo, in charge of the guitars on the song. The song also includes violin arrangements by Chilean artist Charly Soul, in a careful production with its own identity that marks a new stage in Locampo’s path, with a more polished sound and an international imprint.

Born in Córdoba, Gastón trained in music since he was a child and participated in different projects and competitions, including “La Estrella del Cover”, where he won second place. Over time he chose to focus on the development of his own project based on original songs, composition and collaborations with musicians from different countries, a path that today finds him consolidating his own artistic identity.

In parallel to the premiere, the artist is going through an active present: live performances, appearances in programs and media, and a promotional agenda that combines his role as composer with that of performer. Locampo develops part of his artistic activity in Miami, one of the capitals of Latin music, without ever losing his Argentine roots, something that is noticeable both in his way of composing and in the links he forges with other artists in the region.

With “Muévelo” and its video clip now available, and new projects on the way, Gastón Locampo consolidates a proposal that seeks to build bridges between Argentina, Miami and the rest of the Latin market, with fresh music as a banner and an eye on continuing to grow within the international scene.
