Whitsun fair ‘t Veld in full swing: ‘We are organizing something for everyone!’

‘t Veld is in turmoil for four days: the Whitsun fair is back in the village. There are again many attractions, there is a decathlon, you can participate in crate stacking and there is a cycling round. The rain that comes around the corner does not deter the residents.

“Yeah, well done man”, says a proud mother who participates in the Fat Tire Race. Another little boy with a balance bike was allowed to pick up his medal at the finish.

“We want to organize something for everyone”, says Sven Baas of Pentecost committee ‘t Veld. “That is why we have organized various activities, such as this cycling round. From very young to semi-professional, everyone can participate.”

Attractions and fun

One mainly uses the attractions at the fair. “I bought forty coins,” says a young fair-goer in a bumper car, which stays there for the rest of the day.

For others, it is the social contacts that make this the party of the year. “Fun fair is just the time to run into that old friend again, or your old neighbor you used to live next door,” says a villager enthusiastically.
