Two Alkmaar residents, who may be involved in Tijn’s disappearance, will remain in custody in the coming weeks. The pre-trial detention has been extended by 14 days for both. The investigation assumes that a crime has been committed.
Tijn (25) from Alkmaar was born on September 14, 2025reported missing. He was last seen two days earlier, when he cycled from Daalmeer towards the Rekerhout park.
Later that day he was also spotted in the Mare shopping center. There is now written in large letters on a wall: ‘Where is Tijn? separate Diana’. “You notice that people are talking about it. There is fear that it might be in the park somewhere,” responds Lesley Molema of Brasserie de Mare.

Several major searches in surrounding parks with the Veterans Search Team, divers and a drone team have so far yielded nothing. After several tips, his bicycle was found, but there is still no trace of Tijn himself.
Being a 38-year-old Alkmaarder and a 32-year-old Alkmaarder arrested last week in the investigation into Tijn’s disappearance. Detectives suspect that the two men have something to do with his disappearance.
