Hélène Hendriks is back on the channel with her popular talk show, but where has Jack van Gelder gone? We now suddenly see jack of all trades Thomas van Groningen sitting opposite her. “Vacation.”
Jack van Gelder acts as the Johan Derksen of the Hélène Hendriks talk show, but while Johan is almost never absent from Today Inside, we do not see Jack sitting at the table at De Oranjewinter. The less popular regular guest Rutger Castricum is again nowhere to be seen. What happened? Were they dumped by Hélène?
Jack on a trip
Hélène explains exactly how this works The Telegraph. “This has to do with holidays. We will see Jack again during Orange Sunday and in the summer. We will see Rutger there again next year,” she says.
So both gentlemen probably looked for the sun, but Hélène doesn’t want to think about that. “I’m looking forward to having a blast in the coming weeks. In my opinion, there is no such thing as a cucumber time, there is enough happening to fill the show.”
Always honest
With Thomas van Groningen as substitute Jack, Hélène has to be a bit careful, because overkill — we suddenly see him on TV all the time — isn’t good for anyone.
Does Johan Derksen already have critical comments in her mailbox? “Johan is always honest. That’s nice. It would be crazy if I were afraid of that.”
Noah on holiday
Her good friend Noa Vahle, Linda de Mol’s daughter, is also not present this winter. She is on holiday with her brother Julian Vahle and sister-in-law Chelsey Weimar, among others, who always likes to brag about the luxury hotels and restaurants she visits.
