In the annual ordinary financial general assembly of Galatasaray Club, the activities of the management of President Burak Elmas were released financially, but not administratively. The activities of the late former president Mustafa Cengiz and his administration, who took office in the club from January 1 to June 16, were released both financially and administratively. Of the votes cast for the administrative activities of the Genghis era, 918 were for release and 421 for non-release. 32 of the votes cast abstained and one of them was deemed invalid. 958 of the votes used for the financial release of Mustafa Cengiz’s administration were given in favor and 377 against. There were 36 abstentions and 4 invalid votes in this vote.

Galatasaray President Burak Elmas announced that they will go to the elections in accordance with the statute. Here is Elmas’ full statement:
May the decision taken by our general assembly be beneficial to all our community. We have tried to serve as much as we can by giving all our efforts. Get your right. We urgently next week as per our statute 87.22. We will implement the decision you have made by fulfilling the requirements of the article.
Article 87.22 of the Galatasaray Sports Club bylaws states, “To call the Extraordinary Election General Assembly for a meeting within 30 (thirty) days at the latest, in case the General Assembly is not acquitted financially and/or administratively”.

I am sad. I am very sorry to see that our efforts to unite Galatasaray, or at least my desire, have not advanced a single step. I am a very emotional person who loves Galatasaray very much. The presidency is not something you can learn without doing. I have experienced many things in a short time. I have tried to serve and never offend Galatasaray values. It made me very sad to see the sadness of my young friends. So I gave them a lot of hope. I didn’t lie to you. I said this because I believe that Galatasaray can get out of here. I work for all of these. I also have disappointments.
