Ferry Doedens is causing a lot of outrage among the ordinary masses. They find it ridiculous that he gets away with an 800 euro fine for driving under the influence of hard drugs. “Bizarre.”
It was a turbulent week for Ferry Doedens, because he was again in court because he was caught driving under the influence of hard drugs for a third time. According to prosecutors, he drove under the influence of various substances, including GHB, speed and possibly crystal meth. In doing so he endangered many people’s lives.
800 euro fine
Yet Ferry got away with a fine of 800 euros and that caused massive outrage on the NU.nl reaction forum, where people were spewing their bile at the actor and the judge’s judgment.
Mr. Banes takes it easy. “My girlfriend and her husband were killed six years ago by someone who was under the influence of drink and drugs,” he writes. NOWyou. “It had happened several times that this perpetrator was under the influence behind the wheel. It was not a question of if, but when things would really go wrong.”
Disturbing
A certain Robijn fears that things will go wrong with Ferry sooner or later. “It seems to me that what I read is disturbing. Not an incident. And who knows how many times he has driven heavily under the influence of substances. It is better not to drive at all. And apparently he does not think it is necessary or is unable to do anything about his addiction problems.”
Ferry could sooner or later kill someone, fears a certain CCCE. “If this man suffers from panic attacks, it should be investigated whether he can still safely participate in traffic. One life lost as a result is already one too many.”
Boycott
Mr Rotjeknor calls for an immediate Ferry boycott. “I find it incomprehensible that he is not being boycotted by TV and radio. If another celebrity does something that is not right, the person in question will be boycotted immediately. He will just run over your child, because that is the risk. He doesn’t seem to care about anything.”
Dave can’t keep up anymore. “Who in the Netherlands supports this punishment and its severity? Being caught several times with hard drugs and then being fined several hundred euros. Truly incomprehensible. This man is a danger to himself but especially to those around him. Shouldn’t there be much tougher action against that?”
Driver’s license
Roland finds it demotivating for the police. “I don’t care about Doedens as a person, but what I no longer understand in this country is that you are stopped by the police three times in a year for driving under the influence and you are allowed to keep your driver’s license. Doesn’t that drive you crazy as a police officer? Why do you do your work? I can’t explain it.”
One Survivor decides: “Please, Public Prosecution Service, appeal. Demand a tenfold fine and an unconditional sentence of five years or so.”
