With some plants we immediately have to think of the sea and a Mediterranean flair. Bougainvillee, for example, comes from southern countries. Tips on how to create a holiday feeling at home with plants.

If you want to remember your past vacation in the south, you can put plants in the room that spread a Mediterranean flair. The Flower Council gives three examples:

1. The Bougainvillea likes a light-intensive place near a window. It flowers in ultraviolet, red, pink but also in white, yellow or orange. The plants are widespread in Spain, Italy, Portugal and especially Greece.

2. Gorse also thrives best in full sun. The sunny yellow flowers are reminiscent of the wild natural landscapes in Spain or on coastal sections in Brittany and England.

3. Bluebells grow mainly in mountainous regions around the Mediterranean Sea. They are easy to care for and only need a bright location and little water. In nature, they often form large natural carpets over rocks and rocks. The endlessly blooming flowers should remind some of a mountain holiday.
