The condition of addicted soap ruin Ferry Doedens is extremely worrying: he has not even had contact with his own mother for quite some time. “What if I find him dead one day?”
Ferry Doedens recently played beautifully in front of the camera of RTL Boulevard: he is said to be doing very well and he is said to have his addictions under control. Well, there isn’t a single viewer who believes that. In the meantime he has antagonized everyone; even his own mother wants nothing to do with him anymore.
‘He absorbs’
Only his former manager Christian Looman is still in contact with Ferry. He broke off their professional collaboration because it was impossible to work with him, but he still supports him privately.
Christian tries, among other things, to encourage Ferry to restore contact with his mother. “I asked him: ‘Why don’t you call her or go to her? Talk to each other! Your mother is no longer the youngest either. If something happens, you will never forgive yourself.’ He then gives no reaction, just absorbs it and does nothing with it.”

Christian: “A lot of people ask that. I personally think that’s not too bad. I’ve never noticed that Ferry is suicidal, or tends to be suicidal. He never says anything about it either. So I’m not worried about that.”

And if it does happen? Christian: “If it ever came to that, it would of course be terrible. But I also know that I have tried everything I could to help him. Last week I took him to a counselor to see if we can get through to him after all.”
“He then says: ‘I understand what you are saying and I also want that help. But that help can only be used if that cryptocurrency does what it is supposed to do.’ So then we are back in that vicious circle, because that coin is never going to fly.”

Why is Ferry so obsessed with that cryptocurrency? “Do you know? I can’t tell you why that currency has such a hold on him. Everyone thinks about crypto: you buy a coin, you sell a coin. But he is waiting all the time for the moment when that currency will rise.”
“Every now and then that happens and I have him on the phone completely hysterical. Then it’s like: ‘This is the moment! This is the moment!’ But every time that turns out not to be the moment. How many times do you have to see that it doesn’t happen and realize that you are wrong?”
