Tappara has scratched two wins without the power of the top players.
Tapparan, who dominated the points exchange of the SM league in the regular season Joachim Blichfeld and Benjamin Rautiainen have been completely without power points in the first three matches of the HPK quarter-final series.

– When I played in Sweden, I did that a couple of times. Nothing more than that. I’m going to try something new now and see if anything happens with it, Blichfeld said.
Tappara hasn’t needed Blichfeld’s power even more, as the team leads the series 2–1. It has been strong, especially in its home matches at the Nokia Arena.
– It doesn’t matter who scores the goals, as long as we win. We have a really good team. When some have a harder time, others emerge. That’s how good teams work.
– I think that even the fans want to see victories rather than me or Benjamin’s goals. When the team wins, nothing else matters. We have four good chains and we’re just trying to win games.

HPK defends its goal closely. Blichfeld admits that the game is different in the playoffs compared to the regular season.
– They play the way they think they can win. So do we. We have to adapt to all opponents. In the playoffs, the game is more physical and there is more speed than Napsu. That’s how it should be, and that’s what makes this fun. Winning is more difficult now, Blichfeld reflected.
