Oos Kesbeke and his family have been promoted: where their reality series was previously shown on RTL 5, they are now on the main stage RTL 4. Does he actually notice anything about such a television transfer?
It was quite a surprise for Oos Kesbeke and his son: the channel top was so satisfied with their reality series De Augurkenkoning that it was decided to promote the program from RTL 5 to RTL 4. What does a celebrity actually notice about such a move? Or will nothing actually change for them?
More pickles
Oos states that it does make a difference. “Yes, it has become much more serious,” he says Party. “Sometimes I find that quite difficult, because who am I? Let’s be honest: I can’t sing, I can’t dance, and then you suddenly become a famous Dutch person. That’s very special.”
He continues: “If people want to take a picture with me, that is a small effort for me. And if I make someone happy with it, why wouldn’t I do it? That’s how I am. Sometimes it is a lot, but I try to do it. On the other hand, isn’t it great? And the fact that people have started buying more pickles is also nice.”
To India
This year, Oos and his associates are also coming up with a holiday special, in which they travel to India. “I think that’s really special. I’m always afraid of flying. Anyway, I’m trying to overcome my fear of flying and just have a good time. My girl is coming along, and my youngest son and Frans, so we have a nice team.”
“The funny thing is: the Indians don’t eat pickles, but it is a country that grows a lot of pickles. For as long as I can remember, we have been importing the very small ones from India, because you can’t buy them in Europe.”
