West Ham United have signed Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca. The 23-year-old Scamacca played in the youth at PSV and also played for PEC Zwolle in the 2018-2019 season. He was unable to break through at both Dutch clubs.
The Italian comes over from Sassuolo, where he scored 16 goals in Serie A last season. He has signed for five years in London, with an option for a sixth season.
West Ham United finished seventh in the Premier League last season and are therefore participating in the preliminary rounds of the Conference League this season.
