Guidance for less classic companies
Not only classic defense companies are addressed. Also companies that had nothing to do with defense so far also show willing to reorient their services or products. Voka West Flanders wants to guide them in that process. “We are going to see where the needs are and how our companies can respond to them. We are in close contact with both the Flemish and the federal government.”
Flemish Defense Plan
The Flemish Defense Plan, which was recently approved by the Flemish Government, must now release that historical brake. This also makes room for cooperation between government, knowledge institutions and private companies in the Domain of Security and Defense, as has been the case in other European countries. “Europe will have to stand on its own two feet on a geopolitics. Private companies play an important role in that geopolitical resurrection,” concludes Bert Mons.
