Nevertheless, the reality shows that in the last twenty years only 35 euros per 100 euros in defense spending has been reduced to the Belgian economy. Voka therefore argues for more opportunities for local companies.
“West Flanders is already making a considerable contribution today, but has the assets to further strengthen this role. With knowledge institutions such as VLIZ, innovative companies and military bases, we as a province can increase our impact on Belgian and European Defense,” says Bert Mons, managing director of Voka West-Vlaanderen.
