Wesley Plaisier failed to beat two-time world champion Peter Wright in the second round of the World Darts Championship. The Dutch World Cup debutant had chance after chance to hurt Snakebite, but he did not unwrap the presents of the Scot dressed as purple Santa Claus. And so Wright may return after Christmas for the third round against the in-form Dutchman: Jermaine Wattimena.
