Bundesliga club Werder Bremen is interested in left-back Maximilian Mittelstädt.

Discussions are already underway about a change of professional from Hertha BSC. Mittelstädt, who was no longer part of the starting eleven at Hertha, still has a contract with the Berliners until the end of the season.

According to speculation, the Bundesliga clubs VfB Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg should also consider the 25-year-old as a potential newcomer.

“We do not comment on speculation. Of course we look around the market to see what could be possible in the summer and we also have our lists,” said Clemens Fritz, head of professional football at Werder.
