At BVB, Julian Brandt never knew how to convince. The national player could leave the club. Maybe he is drawn back to his homeland.
Julian Brandt has played 41 competitive games for Borussia Dortmund this season. The 28-year-old came four goals and eleven templates. At least as far as the hit yield is concerned, an expandable balance. Overall, light and shadow changes again with Brandt’s services. Since moving to Dortmund in 2019, the ex-Leverkusener has struggled with this missing consistency.
Most recently, ex-footballer and sky expert Didi Hamann even criticized the midfield player publicly. After the 2-2 against FC Bayern, he complained about Brandt’s duel behavior. “He has no interest in helping the team,” said Hamann’s clear judgment.
Brandt’s contract in Dortmund runs until summer 2026. As the Pay TV broadcaster Sky now reports, the DFB professional (47 caps) could turn its back on BVB earlier-and switch to another Bundesliga club.
We are talking about Werder Bremen. The North German is said to have the situation around Brandt in mind. There should be mind games about him. A change is currently still classified as unlikely. Because: Brandt is said to earn between eight and nine million euros a year in Dortmund. If he was drawn to Bremen, that would probably be connected to properly.
In addition, Brandt would currently like to continue playing at the top European level, it is said. Inquiries in this category of other clubs should have never existed.
Nevertheless, something speaks for a transfer to the Hanseatic city. Brandt is born in Bremen. A transfer to Werder would therefore be the return home for him – even if he has never played for the club.
And in general: Brandt is considered a candidate for departure at BVB. The “black and yellow” would say he would let him go with a corresponding offer.
