Werder Bremen has been struggling in the center of the attack for a long time. According to a media report, those responsible for the Green-Whites want to sign fresh players for the attack in the summer – ideally on favorable terms. The Bundesliga club now seems to be going all out with a French gem.

Werder Bremen is apparently currently negotiating a move with French strike talent Kenny Quetant. “Sky” transfer expert Florian Plettenberg revealed this on Monday.

The 19-year-old is only under contract with Ligue 1 club Le Havre until the end of June, and negotiations for an extension are considered to have failed. A situation that people want to take advantage of on the Weser.

According to reports, Quetant is more than open to joining Werder, but the transfer is not yet finalized.

Shortly before Christmas, the 1.89 meter tall target player celebrated his professional debut, and immediately after the turn of the year he scored for the first time in France’s top division.

Since mid-March, however, Quetant has not been nominated for Le Havre’s matchday squad because, according to consistent reports, club officials were too annoyed by the talent’s refusal to extend his working paper and therefore wanted to make a statement in the relegation battle.

Lots of competition for Werder Bremen

In recent weeks, Quetant has also been traded to SC Freiburg, and French first division clubs such as OSC Lille were also said to be interested. So if Werder actually gets the contract, it would definitely be a small transfer coup.

For the Hanseatic League, the storm after Marvin Ducksch’s departure is a construction site. Loan player Victor Boniface flopped completely, while the young Keke Topp was initially disappointing in terms of sport, only to then tear his cruciate ligament. And Jovan Milosevic, who was also on loan, only showed his abilities sporadically and is now returning to Stuttgart. There would definitely be room for Quetant.
