Wendy van Dijk threatens to become a presenter without becoming hits

Wendy van Dijk threatens to become a presenter without ratings hits now that Wie van de Drie is also heading towards the viewing figure abyss. She even fell out of the top 15 viewership yesterday.

Since her switch from RTL 4 to SBS 6, Wendy van Dijk has done few programs that even somewhat stick. In addition to the outright flops Flirty Dancing, Dance Dance Dance, De Dansmarathon and Cupido Ofzo, she managed to score well with three programs: Wie Het Laatst Lacht, We Want More and Wie van de Drie.

Wendy disappoints

The candid show Who The Last Laughs is a difficult story in corona time and We Want More will not return for the time being due to Ali B’s misbehavior. So which of the Three is Wendy’s only remaining success title, but for how long?

The first two seasons of Wie van de Drie with Wendy at the helm scored well over a million viewers in 2020 and 2021, the third season was close to 900 thousand viewers at the end of last year. How different it is now: the new season of the BN’er show is quite disappointing.

From viewing figure top 15

The new season of Wie van de Drie started more than a week ago with a disappointing 648 thousand viewers (11% market share), but with the 629 thousand viewers (11%) from yesterday, the show even fell out of the top 15 viewership. Where Wendy a year and a half ago was SBS 6’s new weekend cannon, it is now back to square one.

If these ratings remain the same, then Wendy is a presenter without ratings hits. And that is not really convenient for SBS 6, because the other big star of the channel, Linda de Mol, is temporarily inactive due to a smoking cover-up. Luckily for SBS 6, the daily VI talk show is currently rocking the roof at prime time.

Chantal beats Wendy

Right opposite Wie van de Drie, three programs scored more viewers yesterday, namely Project Rembrandt with 1.5 million viewers (24%) on NPO 1, the Chantal Janzen show Beat the Champions with 1.1 million viewers (18%) on RTL 4 and Toms Scotland with 983 thousand viewers (16%) on NPO 2.

The winners at half past nine were Studio Peking with 1.1 million viewers (21%) on NPO 1, Kidnapped with 869 thousand viewers (19%) on RTL 4 and De Vergelijke Jaar Tachtig with 669 thousand viewers (12%) on NPO 3. SBS 6 attracted only 354 thousand viewers (7%).

Viewing figures

Programs that did not reach the top fifteen ratings include Nieuwsuur (568 thousand), Most Dangerous Roads in the World (497 thousand) and Shownieuws (423 thousand).
