Wendy van Dijk was once the Grande Dame of The Voice of Holland, but after switching to SBS 6 it went downhill with her career. “Maybe she’s even better at acting.”
RTL 4 is currently conducting research among Videoland subscribers about how they are facing a comeback from Moordvrouw. The police series died a silent death and cannot return unchanged, since protagonist Thijs Römer is no longer accepted by the general public after his misconduct.
Murder woman back?
For Wendy it would of course be a nice job. “There is a very big study going on the series of murder woman on Videoland and of course they don’t just do that, isn’t it, because that series has been off television for a long time,” says TV authority Tina Nijkamp in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE.
“RTL is researching that series. Is it coming back or not? It looks like it. Thijs Römer has been erased from the picture that belongs to that research. That means that we will not see it in any case in that new series of murder woman. He is not welcome.”
‘Fits in line’
Tina would find the return of murder woman an ‘exciting’ development. “It would fit in the line of Gooische Women and Medical Center West that came back. I think it also fits with the career of Wendy van Dijk, because Wendy van Dijk as a presenter … Yes, that really doesn’t mean anything anymore, isn’t it?”
Wendy can be seen less and less as a presenter. “She really only does who of the three and that is it. For the rest, we don’t see her anywhere on television at SBS 6.”
Lucrative contract
It clearly went downhill with Wendy, according to the TV authority. “She once had a very lucrative contract there and she was used for all kinds of new shows, but now only for whom of the three. Well, that’s three recording days.”
“So she has plenty of time to act and I also think that she may actually do that even better than presenting. As an actress I have never actually found her so bad, so well, who knows a new job for Wendy van Dijk.”
