Wendy Holdener is leaving in Courzevel-and reacts irritated in the TV interview. “I really have it,” says the Swiss.
Wendy Holdener had to accept a setback again in Couplevel and Méribel. As with the 2023 World Cup, the Swiss resorted to the slalom-and was then visibly annoyed in the TV interview.
After her ending at the night slalom, a reporter from Swiss radio and television (SRF) asked whether Courchevel and Méribel were a difficult patch for her. A legitimate question, because at the World Cup two years ago, Holdener missed a medal there when she slipped away in the second run of the outski.
However, the 31-year-old reacted irritably: “I think that’s really bad. Méribel is great for me, Cutevel for me too. I have never driven as well as here. Just because you leave that does not mean that it is bad . “
Holdener could not hide her frustration over the race. “I really have it. I went all in, I put in a little and I was already next to the slopes,” she analyzed her run, which already ended at the seventh gate after an error.
Despite the bitter departure, she remained optimistic. “Life is not just skiing, but I’m still very disappointed. I wanted to go to victory today,” emphasized Holender.
The victory went to Croatian Zrinka Ljutić, who won a 1.26 second ahead of Sara Hector and Lena Dürr. ÖSV athlete Katharina Liensberger missed the podium by 16 hundredths.
