Welshman Lawrence must probably miss the World Cup

Welshman Tom Lawrence should probably miss the World Cup. The attacker of Rangers FC – opponent of Ajax in the Champions League – suffered a serious injury during training, trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst said about his attacker.

“We have to wait and see how long he is out, but I think for the longer term. It will take months rather than weeks,” said Van Bronckhorst about the attacker who came over from Derby County this summer. “We are investigating his injury, but I don’t think we will see him again for the World Cup.”

Rangers FC and Ajax meet on November 1 in Glasgow. On Tuesday evening, Van Bronckhorst’s team will face Liverpool in the Champions League.

The World Cup kicks off on Sunday 20 November. Wales is classified with the United States, Iran and England.
