(toskanews) — With a video published on his Instagram profile, Welo presented Emigrant (Italian)the official jingle of the 76th edition of the Sanremo Festival. A video call from Carlo Conti interrupts his performance with the band in front of the Basilica of Santa Croce in Lecce, to definitively confirm that the promise made on the Sanremo Giovani stage has come true: his voice and his music will accompany every evening of the event.
The theme song was born from the reworking of his single «Emigrato», a song that talks about leaving as a necessity and not as a dream. A personal and collective story in which Welo takes a stand, telling a reality that exists even when it is not convenient to listen to it. It shows that, sometimes, the best music comes right from there: from who it starts from, but without ever ceasing to belong.
The song in extended version will be available exclusively within the Compilation of the 76th Italian Song Festival (in pre-order from February 10) and out everywhere from Friday 27 February. Sanremo Giovani was a decisive step in the path of the artist from Lecce, born in ’99, who was able to win over critics and audiences for his authenticity and narrative strength.
