The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) registered an average of 1,300 positive corona tests in Drenthe last week. That means a decrease for the second week in a row, last week the RIVM still registered almost 1,900 infections per day.

In the past seven days, 9,102 positive tests were taken in Drenthe. Most of them come from the municipality of Emmen (1,704), the number also exceeded a thousand in Assen (1,406) and Hoogeveen (1,112). The least infections were found in the municipality of Westerveld (344).

Last week, the GGDs already reported that the number of tests taken is also decreasing. It is not clear whether this is because fewer people are willing to be tested, or because there are fewer infections to test.

death

Last week a death in Drenthe as a result of the corona virus was registered, on Tuesday a resident of the municipality of Emmen appeared to have died. This person may have died before, there may be a delay in passing on the death figures. Last week, two deaths were reported in Drenthe.
