It was around half past nine in the morning last Friday when the 31-year-old Russian man managed to escape. That happened when he had to put on his surgical shorts for a medical procedure. He threatened the guards with a sharp object and thus touched the key to the handcuffs.
A large-scale helicopter search on the day itself yielded nothing. The man was serving a prison sentence for theft with violence.
